In light of our decision as a church this past week, I wanted to draw attention to a helpful resource regarding children worshiping with us in the service. John Piper has spoken of the joy and importance of children being in the worship service.
I am excited to have the children in with us during our worship time. They really are able to grasp more than we often think. We've made a practice of asking our children during lunch on Sunday to share one thing they remember from the service. Sometimes the things they mention are trivial and sometimes we're blown away by a sweet Gospel-truth that hit home - whether it be from a song, sermon, or an encouraging word from a church member.
I'm praying for our children in the days ahead while also praying for our parents! May we continue to strive to be Jesus-centered people who train up our children in the way they should go.
Seeking to faithfully parent with you,
Hi Church Family,
As an initial blog post, I wanted to just simply say that this will likely be a spot where I will draw attention to some resources for you to be aware of - a good article, book, song, etc - that I pray would be encouraging to you in your walk with Jesus. So, with that said, I am going to again pass along some links that I sent out in previous emails of some good resources during this COVID-19 season we're in.
Dwell - this a a great audio Bible app for your phone. We are signed up as a church and you can create an account to listen for free through June 8th.
Ligonier Ministries - they are offering all their audio and video resources for free for the time being.
Pilgrim's Progress - this new film can be viewed for free.
I pray these are helping and encouraging,
